Yan Jiang is a Chinese Canadian author-illustrator and educator. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and is currently an Ed.M. candidate at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Surrounded by different languages, she learned to observe and reflect in silence. Her quiet thoughts gradually transform into drawings that celebrate the whimsical and unpredictable worlds of her imagination.
Her client list includes Chronicle Books, Simon & Schuster Canada, Red Deer Press and other publishers. Her work has received recognition from 3x3 , Hiiii illustration, iJungle Illustration Awards, Creative Quarterly, and the Beijing International Book Fair.
